API seals - robust cartridge seals dedicated to severe applications (high temperatures and pressures) designed to meet the demanding requirements of the petroleum and petrochemical industry, where increased safety is required due to both risks and emissions.
AESSEAL® API Mechanical Seals are available in all construction types: Type A, B, and C.
All categories: 1, 2 and 3 are qualified and tested according to API 682. Modular design allows users to choose the right solution for their application, and this modular design ensures ease of purchase and fast delivery.
CAPI ™ type A, B and C Category I Single and Double Seals
• Tested in accordance with API 682
• The TXS range is for mature pumps according to API 610, 5th Ed. with a 0.500" (12mm) radial cross-sectional space between the shaft and seal chamber
• Robust and reliable seal face drive (Patented Floating Technology) reduces high stress points at equipment start-up.
• Probably the most compact single seal and dual API cartridge on the market that uses API 682 technology.
• All sizes available from 1,000 "to 5,000" (24 mm - 125 mm).
CAPI ™ Type A Category II and III Single and Double Seals
• Tested in accordance with API 682
• Flexible stationary element as a standard feature for improved pusher design performance presented in API 682 Section 6.1.1.5.
• Rotary design available on request
• Multi-port Flush provided as standard for optimal cooling of the sealing face.
• Bi-directional pumping ring with 0.062 "(1.5 mm) radial clearance between rotor and stator; In accordance with API 682 Section 8.6.2.3 without compromise.
• All sizes available from 0.750 "to 4.375" (20 mm - 110 mm).
CAPI Type B Category II and III Single and Double Seals
• Tested in accordance with API 682
• Effective seal-face heat dissipation achieved by a directed barrier fluid flow path, irrespective of shaft rotational direction.
• Multi-port Flush provided as standard for optimum seal face cooling.
• 12 edge-welded bellows convolutions as standard.
• All sizes available from 0.750 "to 4.375" (20 mm - 110 mm).
CAPI ™ Type C Single and Double Seals
• Tested in accordance with API 682
• Bi-directional pumping ring with 0.062 "(1.5 mm) clearance between rotor and stator; In accordance with API 682 Section 8.6.2.3 without compromise.
• Effective seal-face heat dissipation achieved by directed barrier fluid flow path in both single and dual designs.
• Identical seal-face technology employed at the inboard and outboard positions (dual seal).
• All sizes available from 0.750 "to 4.375" (20 mm - 110 mm).
